MCMS after school lesson program will continue

The Manchester Community Music School is proud to partner with the Manchester School District to
offer after school small group music lessons for middle and high school students.

Registration for the 2015-­‐2016 academic year is now open!

Lessons will run once a week in 10-week sessions. Each lesson is 30 minutes long and will be scheduled between 3:00 and 6:00 pm at a Manchester school.

Session 1: Week of September 14 - Week of November 16
Session 2: Week of November 30 - Week of February 15
Session 3: Week of February 29 - Week of May 9

Students may register for one session at a time or all three. Each session is $150.00.

Students must have their own instruments to participate.

Oboe
Clarinet
Flute
Trumpet
Bassoon
Saxophone
Euphonium
Tuba
Trombone
Voice
Violin
Viola
Beginner cello
Percussion

WANTED: Community professionals to participate in Career Day

On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, Manchester High School West is hosting a school-wide Career Day. The structure will be different from similar events that often follow a "career fair"-type format in which professionals representing various fields set up displays and wait to be approached by interested students. At West, every teacher will be matched with a guest speaker related to his or her subject area. For example, in the math department, one teacher may host an accountant while other math teachers host a stockbroker or a carpenter. Students will follow their regular schedules and be introduced to a different career field with each class change.
