Band Demo Night: October 1, rain or shine

All prospective fifth grade band students and their parents/guardians are invited to a special “Band Demo Night” held at West High School. The high school marching band will give a short performance, which will be followed by brief sessions on specific instruments.

This event will be held on the West High School football field on Wednesday, October 1 from 6:15 p.m.-7:30 p.m. In the event of rain, the demo will be moved to the West High School cafeteria.

WANTED: Community professionals to participate in Career Day

On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, Manchester High School West is hosting a school-wide Career Day. The structure will be different from similar events that often follow a "career fair"-type format in which professionals representing various fields set up displays and wait to be approached by interested students. At West, every teacher will be matched with a guest speaker related to his or her subject area. For example, in the math department, one teacher may host an accountant while other math teachers host a stockbroker or a carpenter. Students will follow their regular schedules and be introduced to a different career field with each class change. Speakers are asked to give a hands-on or interactive presentation to the classes they meet. West is offering full-day and half-day sessions for interested professionals. Kindergarten and new first grade registration dates announced

Kindergarten and New First Grade Registration Dates Announced Manchester’s elementary schools will be accepting registrations for kindergarten and new first grade students in April.  Students currently attending MSD’s pre-school programs do not have to register for kindergarten at their neighborhood school ; those records will be transferred.  Not sure which is your neighborhood school?  Find it HERE .
