Luke Capistran Memorial event set for October 3

Registration is now open for the annual Luke Capistran Memorial 5K Run, 3K Walk & Kids' Fun Run! Join friends and family for this event at Derryfield Park on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 10:00 am.

All proceeds of this race is put towards sending kids to YMCA summer camps. This year, 11 kids attended various camps for two weeks. Every child who applied for financial assistance through Luke Capistran funding received it!

On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, Manchester High School West is hosting a school-wide Career Day. The structure will be different from similar events that often follow a "career fair"-type format in which professionals representing various fields set up displays and wait to be approached by interested students. At West, every teacher will be matched with a guest speaker related to his or her subject area. For example, in the math department, one teacher may host an accountant while other math teachers host a stockbroker or a carpenter. Students will follow their regular schedules and be introduced to a different career field with each class change.
