Special committee to hold public forum on redistricting

Manchester teachers, parents, and other members of the community are invited to an open forum on Monday, September 12 to offer input and ask questions about redistricting.

Leslie Want, chairwoman of the Board of School Committee’s Special Committee on Redistricting, says hearing from the public is a critical part of the process.

“Questions and comments from parents and teachers will give us more insight and further our efforts to best accomplish the goals we’ve set as a committee,” she said.

All information related to the work of the special committee can be found at under the redistricting tab. Once a plan is approved by the full Board of School Committee, redistricting will be implemented for the start of the 2017-18 school year.
